TV show.

In one episode they showed some things from Humboldt County. I lived in Eureka for a summer before college. Sharkeys Pizza...mmmm

Part of the video included shots of the bay.

There was a clip that showed a guy fishing from his kayak....

I watched it again and I dont think it is Eelgrass in that kayak.

He doesn't weigh so much and that kayak sure is setting low in the water.

That guy sure is carrying a lot of gear in that kayak...

LAST EDITED ON May-21-19 AT 04:57PM (MST)[p]Yup, I'm not worried.

There sure were lotsa 7' pot plants.

Back in the 70s, USN had a random urinalysis policy....but only for those under the age of 36.

My boss was 38 and bragged about his pot plants.

Saw it smoked on base lotsa times.

Once we were in the middle of the Atlantic heading back to port after a cruise.

I had midnight to 4 watch. It was pretty quiet on the Forrestal.

Near 0200 I smelled that smell and peeked over the edge to find 8 or so dudes smoking pot.

My math is pretty good and 8 v. 1 = feddoc as fish bait. I went back to the office and the OIC was asleep. I was a bit sensitive about smoking when smoking wasnt allowed; didnt care about pot one way or the other. Just didnt wanna see a fire.

I quit caring at that point and made sure to make lotsa noise on my next pass around the flight deck.

I remember Sharkeys. My go to pizza joint now is Babe's Pizza. There's a reason they call it Babe's. Their tip jar is always full. :D

Fedoc, you spelled "Sharkey pizza pallor", could you have meant "Shakey"s pizza pallor" founded by Shakey Johnson in Northern CA. If so his home, Rancho Del Capiton" is about 3/4 mile from my home. He founded about 6-8 pizza parlors from Sacramento North including Marysville and Yuba City.

Yea, could be Shakeys. It's been 39 years. Good pizza.

Feddock, I just did a search and I am sure it was Shakey's pizza parlor. It was founded in 1954 in Sacramento and grew to 272 stores most in CA. and Oregon.
I used to eat at the Marysville or Yuba city store and you were right about great tasting pizza.

RELH

There was a pizza parlor back in the 70's or 8o's on F Street across from the old Eureka Theater. It was just a locally owned place, kind of a hole in the wall. I thought it was named Sharkeys, but I could be wrong. It was the most popular pizza joint at the time.

With the help of a friend, I remember now! Sharkey's was an arcade. Across the street from Sharkey's was Shakey's Pizza. RELH is correct.

>Someone say pot?
>Smacked

Hey SMACKDADDY!

You'll be Legal to Buy it before long!
