Hows the dam at Lake Isabella?

?Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. "

I worry about you guys when this type of activity takes place.

The damn fires are bad enough let alone these earthquakes.

Sorry for you guys in Cali having more stress. I see why people are leaving. The gas taxes would have me spitting for sure.

Thank goodness for modern day building codes. A lot of people would have died in other parts of the world.

It's okay your state and others are catching on ?

LAST EDITED ON Jul-06-19 AT 06:32PM (MST)[p]I drove through Ridgecrest today.....no obvious sign that anything happened....other than gaggles of firemen and county rescue vehicles under most shade trees...

I counted 28 of these on the interior walls of the new house being built.

Homer, that's the deal with earthquakes, nobody knows. I know it's coming....

Kilowatt, thanks for that. One of the big issues we have up here is houses being knocked off their foundations, especially the post and pier foundations.

Everybody hates the building inspector, until there's an earthquake.

We have earthquake latches on all our cabinets and I keep a shutoff wrench wired to the gas meter.

Homer...what were you doing in Ridgecrest? Buying your months supply of crack?

We were sitting at Lake San Antone when the 2nd one hit. We all sat there and felt it rumble for about 15-20 seconds. Good thing my beer was still half full or it would've been the longest 20 seconds of my life. :l

Cancer doesn't discriminate...don't take your good health for granted because it can be gone in a heartbeat. Please go back and read the last line. This time really understand what it says.

That's actually not a bad question...:D Homer???

Jager, you might take down the moose mount above the headboard in the bedroom.
