I'd get the plain one for $15 if I had the money. Fancy checkered stock for $15 more is a waste of money. The Special for $46 is for rich snobs who probably don't even hunt.

I had a single shot Marlin/Ballard. It was a falling block .44-40.
 
My first rifle eas a remington 33, .22 it was my grandpas. Last rifle i bought was a savage single shot in .308. It may become a 6.5 06 :cool:
