Looking into hunting unit 233 in the late season.
How are the elk populations from last winter?
I understand it's mostly timber is there much for glassing/vantage points
How?s Bull quality not looking for giants just curious to the caliber of elk in that area thanks in advance

Is that the sprague unit?
Typically it's a super tough hunt. Lots if people don't even see elk.

Success rates have not been above 7% in the past 5 years.

From what I understand it gets hunted hard all fall from some of the natives.

How many points do you have?
Where are you from?

If you threw a dart at Oregon you just hit the worse hunting unit in the entire state. Nice aim.

I am from PA I have no points a friend of mine lives in that area and asked if I wanted to go just trying to get some info on the area

I would strongly recommend looking somewhere else.
have You elk hunted before?
Does your friend elk hunt the area?
