Some how got lucky and drew the unit 40 elk hunt this year. Hunt goes from 10/15-11/24. Been scouting other areas for the other hunts I had planned, because honestly did not expect to get this hunt. Hoping to travel there this week (July 5-12) and then again in August. Just have zero idea where to start. Any insight would be much appreciated, as I don't really know much about the area.
