Just curious if anyone reading this post is aware of any hunting channel that may be interested in filming this hunt. Could be an epic hunt this year. I also drew an area 24 mule deer tag in Nevada as well. This is expected to be the best year for antler growth in years due to all the spring weather.
Maybe Randy Newberg or Corey Jacobsen will read this and have an idea.

I'm not sure what program it is that these disabled vets are qualifying for some of these premium Idaho controlled hunts.
How disabled do they have to be to qualify?
Last year a guy Drew the unit 70 moose tag and now two guys have drawn the unit 40 elk. Those tags in the regular draw have odds about 1/1500 for a resident to draw.

Disabled Veterans Programs
The Disabled Veterans Special Big Game Tag Program allows a qualified organization to apply for a special big game hunt tag on behalf of a disabled veteran. A qualified organization is defined as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, or a government
agency with a mission to afford opportunities, experiences and assistance to disabled veterans. The program is not limited to organizations in Idaho.
Idaho Fish and Game makes five tags available each year for disabled veterans for any deer, elk, pronghorn, moose, black bear or mountain lion hunt. Tags may be requested for general or controlled hunts. An additional five tags may be available each year. Participants are exempt from licensing requirements. The program is a first-come, first-served, once in a lifetime opportunity. The application provided by Fish and Game must be used to apply.
