Put my son in for Nevada for the last 4 years and he finally pulled a muzzy tag.
We went to the range with two muzzys and after shooting he opted not to shoot my optima pro with 300 grn FPB's and felt more comfortable with the closeout Knight wolverine I bought years ago for 99$ and the 245 grn powerbelt and 90grn by volume of BH 209.

Nicely done and nice buck! Surprised to see him still in velvet. Seems like its over night that a buck will fully rub.

I have never seen a buck in velvet on the opener of the Nevada season till this year, the group we hunted had about 23 bucks and on the 9th 75% were still in velvet mostly forks hard rubbed them by Wednesday only 10% were in velvet with it being a couple of the bigger bucks holding on to it

Tell your boy congrats!

Did you have trouble with blow back shooting BH209 with a plunger style muzzleloader?

Very cool looking buck, Good job.
