My current situation precludes me from caring about your opinion but go ahead and give voice to it anyway...

Yep yesterday it was "good girl" Today it is "Bad dog!"

Im sure with enough whoopins' she will understand perfectly...

Last year she would bring a big fresh brown and put it at my feet and I couldn't even acknowledge it though she was just dying for some praise.

The positive news is that we now have thousands more deer due to the straw dog horn hunters no longer killing them wholesale.

You are making me jealous. I have spent far too many days this spring sitting in the house nursing a bum knee. By the time I can put some miles on the grass is going to be tall.

Now that CO has a Shed season, How long until CO Division of Wildlife starts of sell shed licences that give people that pay more an advantage over others?
I hope it never happens but price discrimination seams to be a popular way to increase revenue.

Well... once you have a season...

Ya kinda gotta have a license, right??

I can assure you the gov't wheels are spinning as we type.

Bad news is they already whacked our big deer down to literally nothing, took them 4 years under new mgmt after paying the price for 12-15 to get them here under the old mgmt

Winter range is kinda pathetic without them bruisers stomping around. We have lost 50" off our top end bucks and the printing press is still ramping up.

So do you think the guys that shed poach prior to the season will buy a shed license squirrel? :D

Yes it would appear the method of choice is to stash and have that "big opening day" haul. They would get mighty antsy thinking of people out there maybe finding and grabbing their pile. And yes that has happened to at least one!

Opening day there would be a high chance of being spotted with a huge obnoxious load of horns so a permit in hand would make sense.

Of course they are dumb enough to post their huge opening day haul followed by slim pickings (and honey holes dont go down like that) so with these young bucks who are that ignorant who knows if they would just try to slip through the skimpy enforcement.

And no Bess I use a horn stretcher and antler soaking irrigation ditch, never a saw and hair dryer
