Took the afternoon off for a photo trip down to Malhuer Refuge. Here' s a few of the bucks we saw. The bucks are really starting to chase the does. We saw about 75 bucks but I'm sure there will be a lot more show up as the rut progresses.

Any body have a guess at what this guy would score?

Great Pics Jeff. That wide buck is a stud. Is that big 190+typical still out there. I talked to Josh the other day and he said there are some absolute brutes out there this year. Will be heading over there on the 22nd so we will see what is still around. Thanks for posting the awesome pics.

Flatlandr, The Malhuer Refuge is in Eastern Oregon. It's about 50 miles south of Burns. High Desert, I talked to Josh the other day and he had several nice bucks at his place. We started heading back to Burns about 3:30 down the center patrol road and saw most of these bucks along that road that evening. I was supposed to meet up this weekend with Ricochet but I've had to work everyday this week and probably even this weekend. But I'm hoping to get out there towards the end of the month. Josh said he was going to call when things get really heated up so maybe I can slip away one day.

Nice deer. Seems like I've seen some of those deer on your web page. Could be wrong.
