After a few months of this and that, here's the final product:

Browning ABolt 7mm Stainless Stalker
Sent the stock to Bell & Carlson for a little camo and dura touch.
Put a VXIII 4-14 x 50mm with the Boone and Crocket Reticle on it.

What do you think? :)

LAST EDITED ON Apr-07-06 AT 10:44AM (MST)[p]Looks good, I have a SS Stalker too but I have a Matte finish on my scope, less chance of glare I would think.

Mossy Oak New Breakup is the camo. Was looking into Skyline Excel, but like the darker contrast with silver, etc.

http://www.bellandcarlson.com/ has all the patterns and they did the "dipping" and dura touch (call is MaxxGuard, but it's the same thing and I think they do Browning's). I was very impressed!

Great looking rifle . Did you just send them your old stock to be dipped or did you replace it ? I recentlt bought a .243wssm in a winchester mod 70 super shadow that I would like in camo...

Sent them my old stock. Supposedly, they can do about anything. For example, an old beat up wood stock could be sent in and come out looking like that.

Great looking rig. It really is an excellent all around North American cartridge (7 mag).

That's as good looking as it gets in my book. I'm ordering the same scope to go on my stainless stalker 300wsm.

Very nice looking gun, how does she shoot?
I have an M-77 .300 mag in the strainless with the glue lamb stock. Very nice looking, but a little bothersome while hunting and the sun shining, makes for too much reflection, I think.

I taped up the muzzle and the sccope glass and painted my entire SS stalker and leupold 2.5x8 vari-x 111 with cabela's camo kit. Damn near lost it in the woods.

I'm a huge 7mm fan across the board. Just got my son a new 7mm-08. I used to own a 7mm RUM as well. That was a FUN GUN! :) Sold it to buy this new set up. Just not a family friendly cal!

Haven't shot it yet. It's brand new, just wanted to get it finished. Snow is finally melting around here, heading to the range in the next week or so to start playing with both new 7's.

You gun looks great! How does the stock feel? I mean have you handled a dura-touch rifle. Is it the same I guess is what I'm asking?

I have handled Dura Touch rifles. IMO it is exactly the same thing. It feels like a dream. Melts into your hands. It's great.

Nice...very nice!
I wanna know how you got it to levitate. Maybe there's a cat gettin' let out the bag here, hmm?

Photo makes it look like it's floating on air...
Hey!!
Did I just see Bouncing Betty up the thread?

LAST EDITED ON Jan-02-07 AT 11:28PM (MST)[p]It came from a 35mm camera that my mom tried to expose! LOL Not the best, here are a few more we took with the gun in the pics. Fun shooting gun and looks good in the pics too. :)
