Exo MTN gear

LAST EDITED ON Mar-03-19 AT 07:47AM (MST)[p]Kifuru and Stone Glacier packs tend to have a big following. You'll hardly see a bad review on either. I've used and abused my Kifaru for years and it keeps on ticking. Lots of accessories, lids, bags, pouches, etc to customize. Well worth the expense if you ask me!

Others have more experience but my 3500 was a HUGE upgrade from my KUIU Ultra Light.

I'm 51, but with the help of this bag, I carried an entire boned 28" wide mule deer out of a canyon in one load. PS I'm not marathoner either. The pack really carried that load well, and that is worth some $$.

Also, I'm from Boise and could not say better things about the guys that run it.

PS My son has used his to pack elk and deer with much larger loads and has been equally if not more enthusiastic.

Backpacks aren't a one fits all. I'd recommend trying to find a shop or someone locally near you to try on a few different packs and see what fits you best. Proper setup and fit is most important. If not properly adjusted even a high dollar pack can feel terrible. It's amazing once you find the proper fit how well many of the top brands feel and carry weight.
The EXO is definitely a good pack and the stretch pocket on the front is a genius idea.
