Iowa deer hunting

Hi all, I live in Iowa and have access to a fair amount of private ground and have been fortunate enough to take several nice 160 plus type whitetail. Long story short I would like to find someone willing to trade for elk hunting. I am open to trading simply for information on good areas on public or private access depending on the situation. I have been hunting Idaho the last few years with a group and we have had some luck, but would like to find a good general or otc unit where I could find good numbers of elk consistently. I am not looking only for trophies and would be happy with any legal bull. Just to be clear I am not an outfitter. Just a farm kid with access to ground owned by my family and neighbors. But, I can certainly provide access to some very good hunting. I am not looking for someone to hold my hand the whole time, just need someone to point me in the right direction. I am open to any reasonable proposal so let me know if you have any interest. Thanks.

FYI by far better elk hunting can be had by getting an LE permit. No comparison - far more elk, far bigger elk, less hunters and elk are much easier to call/approach. Building points in CO & WY is a good idea. Apply for archery tags in NM

Thank you for the input, all good ideas. We are building points in Wyoming and CO and applying for controlled hunts in NM and Idaho. We just really want to hunt every year and are trying to figure out a solid plan B for those years we don't draw.
