I own a cabin in northern new mexico. It has either the largest or second to the largest herds in the state.also antelope and deer.I would be willing to pick up your party at the airport or if you pre fer to drive. The cabin has bedding already supplied.I can also stock it with food and double as a camp cook if you prefer. This is a non guided hunt but i will show you where i have seen animals before.I could also be available for hunter drop off and pick up in hunting areas.hunters would have to draw a permit through the state. Deadline april 8.for bow, muzzleloader or rifle. If unsuccessful we have agood chance at securing your party a unit wide landowner permit. In trade i'm looking for the same kind of deal maybe for a whitetail or any big game animal in another state i love to hunt and always willing to visit new country.........

Howdy from Texas. Where exactly is your place? How hard is it to draw in this unit? If someone did get a landowner tag, what would that cost? What size of elk could someone expect to have a decent chance at?

As far as what I have to offer. I have a ranch in Texas 100 miles northwest of SAn Antonio. Have native whitetail and turkeys. Also, even though we have low, standard fencing, we have free ranging axis deer and blackbuck antelope. Some people come for a spring turkey and exotic hunt in April.

If interested, email me directly and we can talk.

My husband has an elk tag for unit 52 and we would like to get more information about your cabin and if you would be willing to rent it from about October 5th through the 12th?

Herb is at our cabin in Sawyers Bar (which is 25 miles from nowhere) and I am here in Etna (nowhere) in very Northern CA with the computer. If you could give us more information about the cabin and whether you would be interested in renting it please either e-mail me at:
[email protected] or if you don't mind we can call you.
Herb does not have full time electricity (only a small generator)
and no computer but we do have a phone and he could call you.

Thanks in advance,
Carolyn Duerr (Herb D's wife)

I am drawing for 52 this year (07)for muzzleloader with a friend. I hunted 52 in 06 with bow. what a great unit, my friend havested a spike 2nd day, and I choked on a 5x5 Satelite last morning.I live in IL just 15 minutes from St. Louis. I hunt Calhoun county just below Pike on public land, islands and waterfowl refuge. Have boat etc.

Tanks for your time

Joe

Hey there! I'm a local boy from Abiquiu looking for some help/advice on the deer hunting in gmu 52 (primitive muzzleloader) hunt this year. I have hunted antelope, elk, and cutthroat trout up there, so I know some of that country OK. I have seen a few nice bucks while antelope hunting in August, but I could use some advice on where to focus at the end of Sept. Also, I wanted to know if your cabin is booked yet for that hunt.

Thanks,

Tim Seaman
