Amazing Optics! This is my new hunting and scouting binocular.....the SLC's are retired!

I received these optics about 5 weeks ago and have had the chance to use them on a Wyoming scouting trip, 3 days of archery hunting in Utah, and 13 days of scouting and hunting in Colorado. I have to say, the image is so clear and sharp. When glassing for bucks, sometimes what you're looking for is just a portion of a body, and that's where I've notice these optics really standout. I'm very impressed.

At 32 oz., the optics are comfortable to wear on my binocular harness without much of any bounce when I'm hiking hard. They are a bit longer than my previous optics, but I don't notice it while glassing at all. They're very comfortable to hold while standing and glassing or sitting down with my elbows on my knees.

The focus knob is so smooth and in just the right location for easy adjustment as I go from glassing 500 yards to a mile. Weight wise, they come in at about 32 oz., which feels just fine to me.

For those of us who know how important that first 30 minutes of light is, we also know how important it is that our opics pick up as much light as possible to allow us to see the details of a buck or bull in the early morning light. The Ultra High Definition optical quality does a great job with light transmission and edge-to-edge sharpness on the viewing image. One of the very first things I noticed with the optics is how nice glassing into the sun was. I don't know what they've done to make this as good as it is, but I like it. It's so improtant when scouting and hunting to not have a washed out view, but instead a clear, sharp view looking towards the rising sun.

Of course the optics are water and fog proof, as they feature o-ring seals to keep water, dust, dirt and other grim from penetrating the binocular. And argon gas purging prevents any internal fogging. ArmorTek protects the lenses from scratching and rubber armor provides a nice, slip proof grip. They feel good in my hands.

The binocular is also tripod adaptable like so many of Vortex's optics. And included in the package is a bino strap, a very nice binocular pack with straps and an accessory/bullet belt pack.

If you're in the market for a new set of hunting optics, you've got to take a look at this binocular. Compare them to others and I'm sure you'll see how sweet they are.

Yeah..... I have looked through them and I defiantly will not be trading my slc's in for them. Just hope your keeping your slc's in your pack for when those things fall apart.

Since posting the initial review, I've had the chance to put in another 13-14 days of hunting with these optics in hand and I'm very happy with them.

I can imagine, I am still happy with a pair of Vulture HD's I have.

I've always been a fan of 10x50s. Do you think they need to make a 10x50 in these?
