fav. bino harness?

Nimrod makes a great system, the upper half is nylon istead of elastic, your bino's don't bounch and the harness doesn't stretch. They also have an optional Gortex cover that easily slips off and on for those rainy days. Their web page doesn't show the cover, I would order their catalog for more info. Everything Nimrod makes is top notch.

I really like the Tarantula Bino Straps sold right here @ the Monster Muleys Online Store.
They're priced right and are very functional!!

"Good mass & long browtines"

I second mtmiller on the "binocsock". Heck of alot less strapping to deal with, and it keeps the snow, etc from the lenses.

thanks for all the feedback.. i went and got a nimrod today. sure seems like it will work just fine. thanks again...

How does the Nimrod compare to the Mossback "Bino-Hooker"??
I use Duovids which a a bit heavier than normal around the neck. Looks like the bino-hooker would support the weight better?

I am going to look into the Nimrod harness as well. From what you guys have identified it eliminates all of the quirks I have with my crooked horn harness. Mainly the bounce and the need to readjust the straps.

I also like the quick detact option. Seeing how my bino harnes is usually the first thing I put on it would be nice to be able to take my binos from the harnes without taking my pack, jacket and such off.
?Here?s to the hero's that Git-R-Done!!?

I use and will continue to only use the Nimrod harness system until something better comes along. I have used these for the past 4yrs and wouldn't trade them for anything.

check out the new badlands bino system. THis thing is hands done better than anything out there right now.

Better than anything out there? Not from where I am sitting. With my pack on that just adds more crap going over the shoulders. Way too wide of straps for me.

I read this thread and went with the Nimrod. I like it a lot. I had the standard leather X yolk in the back before. It was ok, but nothing special. I did not like the plastic ring to attach the binocs. I do like the way Nimrod attaches to the binocs. The elastic keeps it snug against me and steadies the view even for my Geovids.

I got a Badlands Bino system love it, went up in that first big wasatch snow storm my bino's stayed dry all day except when i dropped them, should of hooked up the straps. the rings that come with them are a little cheesy but heard they are changing that. I wear it with my 2200 and can hardly feel the straps which definatly suprised me. My buddy wore his with his hypervent with the same results. The magnet system really hold it shut. I heard from the rep that the next generation of bino cases will probally have a soft liner. with those changes i definatly recommend it.

Badlands.
I looked at Nimrod's, looks like they flop around when you bend over.

The badlands Bino harness is undetectable under my 2800. The straps hold both the upper and lower portions of the bino case.

I just bought the Nimrod. I like the way that it fits on me, but the little strings they give you to attach to the binoculars is really mickey mouse. They really should have some kind of small straps or clips.

I agree on the zip ties to attach, junk. I used the rings off my old Crooked Horn system with the Nimrod System, works great.

Thanks for the tip, never thought about using rings, that what I'll do.
