Book Cliffs North

My wife was lucky enough to win an expo tag - Book Cliffs North Mule Deer. (1st time ever winning anything, our luck must be changing).

We are going to spend some time this summer on the unit, before we go I thought the MM community would be a great place to start in trying to narrow down the area that we can scout given it is such a large unit.

Anyone that has hunted it recently, if you are willing to provide some info, please PM me.

I am excited to explore this country and enjoy time with the family!

Hunted there a few times, best advice I received... don't shoot the first 4 point you see, and you'll see better bucks if you can wait 3+ days.

Thanks everyone.....I think in the end being out exploring new country, being with family, seeing animals and having a chance at a decent buck is all that my wife is looking for as far as expectations.

Yes pretty sad, but I will say I saw a couple that will be the 170 range most likely next year. We also left the house about 9 and were gone before dark so it wasn't great timing. It's not what it once was but can still be a fun hunt with the right expectations.
