Bookcliffs, South Antelope

Hello all,

I should draw this tag as a non-res this year. Born and raised in Utah and now live in grand junction so I be close. Just curious if anyone has hunted the unit recently. I would love to see some pics and hear some stories. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Didn't hunt it and probably will never get to, but was amazed at how unbelievably dry it was last summer on my drive through. I am not from the area, so I'm not sure of the normal water situation, but I was commenting to my wife how I just could not fathom how the animals out there survive. But water or not, I did see a whomper buck in the unit running along the north side of 70 and many more bunches on the south side, but out of the unit. Good luck!

It can hold some awesome bucks- we have hunted it twice. Either look at Eastman Hunting Journal Facebook page or last fall Hunting Journal to see my son's B & C buck a couple years ago.

Hey Ranger1, Post a picture if will. I think I may have spoke to you before your hunt.

My son was able to take a buck there a couple years ago. While Scouting I did not see a ton of Antelope but plenty to have a good time. Some times I went 20 miles with out seeing any antelope so be prepared to cover some miles.
The year after my son took his buck and young kid took a great buck(I think it was Rander1's son).
Any antelope hunt is fun. It is my favorite hunt.
