NR West Desert/Rush Valley Pronghorn

Finally drew a pronghorn tag....planning on taking my wife on this hunt with me. I have maps already from my Vernon deer hunt years ago. We saw a few goats on that hunt. Any tips before I start my research? Thanks!

Bow or rifle, Mr wisz?
I've spent some time out there and it seems like the best bet is a blind setup with a bow or cover the country and spot & stalk if you're rifle hunting.

Thanks for responding Zeke...I will be rifle hunting. I have a blind...will the goats be congregated around water sources in September? I guess it'll still be in the 80's and 90's out there then? Not too keen on having to sit in a blind for hours...not really my type of hunting but will do what is necessary to kill a better than average buck if that is a possibility.

Howdy from the Central Coast (MB). I drew the Snake Valley pronghorn hunt myself this year. Day time temps will be variable during our hunts and will range from 70 to 90 degrees.

Bwht- Ahhhh...Morro Bay. We like heading up that way to walk on the wharf every once in a while. Snake Valley is south of where I'll be hunting? I briefly checked how many NR tags are allotted and there are very few. I think we did well. How many points did you have? I think I had 11. I think there were only 2 NR tags for the hunt I drew.

BESS- I believe Sandy borders this unit...don't you live in Sandy? Good think you've still got that ankle bracelet on so you can't leave the yard.

Where's that 80 incher? I'll send something his way first day. Seriously, got any pointers? Will I need to concentrate around water?
