LAST EDITED ON Jun-30-19 AT 02:25PM (MST)[p]When I was younger I remember catching dozens and dozens of fish on little streams. I'm looking to take my family somewhere up there for a couple days and let the kids catch some fish on a little river. I have no clue where I went when I was little. I was wondering if some of you would point me in the direction of some little streams that are good for fishing with kids. A little enough stream that I don't have to worry too much about them falling in, but then still have some fish. The kids are between 4 and 12, of course we will have our eyes on the little ones pretty close. The size of fish does not matter at all. PM me if you prefer. Thank you!

The Bear River is FULL of fun and easy to catch fish. We camped off of Mirror Lake Highway and fished the river. Fish were plentiful and easy to catch with just worms.

Below are the regs and limits for the Uintah lakes and streams. Go kill it!

Uinta Mountains lakes and streams,
Daggett, Duchesne, Summit, Uintah and
Wasatch counties
Includes streams and lakes in Utah within the
boundary beginning on I-80 at the UtahWyoming state line southwest of Evanston,
Wyoming and continuing southwest along
I-80 to US-40 (near Park City); then east along
US-40 to Vernal, Utah; then north along SR-44
to Manila, Utah; then west on SR-43 to the
Wyoming state line; and then west and north
along the Wyoming state line back to the
beginning point at I-80.
?Limit 4 trout.
?Bonus limit of 4 brook trout (total limit
of no more than 8 trout if at least 4 are
brook trout).

West fork of the blacks fork has little streams, beaver dams that are full of fish. Fly pole and a parachute Adams is our choice. Mostly little fish about the size of your finger, but they are fun to catch. The river has bigger fish but more dangerous for young kids

Until the Run-Off Water Slows Down a bit/Clears up, you may wanna wait it out until Waters get somewhat back to normal!

North Fork, and South Fork on the Red cloud loop on the south slope side of the mountain would be exactly what you are looking for. Also White Rocks canyon is fun as well, but it would be best to wait that one out a little longer as I am sure the runoff is still going strong and it is more of a main river.

Cuts, Brookies, and white fish. Is it possible that we could have caught a Tiger trout? Not exactly sure what one looks like, but thought it was one. Didn't get a pic of that one. Elk, not much fishing for me.? It's funny when you get older, I just wanted them to catch fish, didn't care too much about me catching them. I'm sure you have been there too, probably still are.

In southern Utah Minersville reservoir has a spillway my kids catch tons of fish every time below that spillway. Hook and worm is all they used and catch a lot of 9"-10" that we turned loose by the end of the worms we had several keepers. 4 kids kept me busy pulling fish off the hook.
I haven't been there in years but it was awesome back when they was young.
