A buddy and his dad drew the tag. Good guys and good hunters.

Any info you can give them will be appreciated.

I have hooked them up with people here before and the have reciprocated info back to a few guys on here that was helpful. They have hunted CO, NM, ID, WY and CA for deer and elk.

PM me or email him. His name is Neal Lopez.

Thanks

So he has received advice from a few people from here and other sources that point towards covering ground by vehicle glassing from as many places as possible and not to focus too much time hiking out a ridge and spending a morning or evening glassing. Would this be the consensus on the books or just that of those willing to share this far?

Thanks for any help.

Ive hunted the Books on and off for 25+ years.

Heard it was going down hill....BUT OMG!

Just spent a week out there, pathetic at best.

More Like imberising DWR.

Both deer and elk numbers are in the dirt!

Very sad.

Yes covering ground and glassing is your best bet. There are roads everywhere out there. Been a few years since I was out that way but I would check out Indian Ridge over to where it ties into McCook Ridge. Tell them good luck.

Thanks camper, I will pass it along!
