Just a heads up.
19 points most likely will not pull the NR early Manti permit next year.
Could be 3 plus years out still with the point creep.

Not to hijack this thread but if I'm sitting on 20 non-resident elk points and go into the 2020 elk drawing w/ 20 points + 1, what area and outfitters would you recommend???

If you have 20 going into the draw. You will have 21 points only if you don't draw. So when looking at the draw odds figure with 20.

Sound wisdom, BIGJOHNT! Some states use a draw system where they apply the total number of preference points and also include the current year for your name to be thrown in the hat. But, I see what you're saying and at least I'm going into the 2020 draw with 20 bonus points, somewhat ahead of the large pack bringing up the rear.

If I was a non-resident with those points, I would not hesitate one second putting in for the Wasatch and going hunting with berryblaster. Strawberry Bay Outfitters get it done on the Wasatch every year with some great bulls.

If you want to try and pull the Manti, High Top Outfitters is a group that seems to do really well on the unit.

I have never hunted with or met any of the folks listed above, just have followed along through what they post. I'm sure there are others that do great on both units that you'd be happy with, but those are two that seem to have those units dialed in pretty well.
