Hey All,

After applying for 23 years I finally drew a Wasatch Moose permit. I've been out 6 times now looking and haven't seen any that I would say that's a for sure shooter. I'll get out probably 3 more times before the hunt starts. If any of you bow hunters or limit entry elk hunters see a nice one and don't mind sharing send me a pm. I hope to narrow down my starting point before the start so I can setup my camp. So far I've I've looked at White River, along Strawberry River, Cascade Springs area, AF canyon, Current Creek area. Next week headed to the east boundary to look around. Thanks for any help, good luck to all out hunting and be safe.

I got mine after waiting 22 plus 3 before the point system went in, four years ago, congrats to you.

I got mine after settling on the Mill Hollow area, scouting it out and seeing lots of animals, camped just about a mile up from the lake.

Picked that area cause it was more habitat sensitive to Moose compared to all the other Mountain areas, where people said they were seeing one or two. I had more tips for that area all over than just seeing one here or there on the other areas.

We seen four Moose the first morning before I shot mine about an hour into the hunt. Go check it out !
Good Luck !

My son has a wasatch ML limited elk tag. I will let you know, we are just starting to get serious about scouting. A couple of years ago I saw a good one up left hand fork of Hobblecreek.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-20-19 AT 02:25PM (MST)[p]Hey, did any of you Elk hunters run into any Moose while out and about. Choose not to shoot this guy on Tuesday. Hoping to find a bigger one. Thanks for any help.

You Do realize most of Our Moose are not living past age 3 or 4 Right?

I know so many people in so many places
They make allot of money but they got sad faces

It Ain't Easy being Me!:D:D:D

I do I was hoping 1 or 2 might make it past 4. Besides i still get to hunt, hate to end it too soon.

That is a very good moose for Utah! You do realize a bigger moose is most likely not going to show up! If you are still able to re-locate him go do it and smile for the camera. I think you are dreaming for a better bull!
