Young guys still, 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 year olds.. The big guys are not moving at all when it's in the 90's all day...

At least they have brow tines this year, been getting a lot of bucks with none or only one the last few years.

The same guy I believe also...
I'm having trespasser problems again, people like to ride their horses thru my plots...got nice face pic's this time so maybe the police will do something this time.

don't know them if they are neighbors, have asked around to all the horse people in the area and nobody recognizes the horses... best guess is maybe a timber cruiser looking at the timber to bid on it. have commercial timber grower on backside of my property.

Well Robb I don't think I could get away with the SLOW ELK excuse, maybe a Piebald slow elk... I hear Pony is a good meal.

Thinking more along the line of putting the camera's on Video and some party popper trip lines... or punji stick pits...or bent back limb trip lines as I have a lot of bamboo in that area, set them about rider height..... but now that I posted it they can say things like Pre-meditated and set up..

Post on Craigslist stolen horses, BET someone will call.
LOL

'Ike'

Bowhunter...

I'm a Marine that just got stationed in Little Rock and was wondering if anyone knew of any public land close to LR that is worth the time to hunt, I've never hunted whitetail so just looking for a little advice

Lots of wildlife areas up there. may even be a few permits left, check out the "Sweet 16" areas.
Your problem is that you just got stationed here and have not established residency but maybe with your orders you maybe can get a permit... what's your state of legal residency?

yes if you have been here for 60 days and declare Arkansas as home state (can not have a Ca license)...

Do I qualify as a resident? ?
Any person who physically inhabits a bona fide residence within Arkansas for at least 60 days and declares themselves a full time resident. ?
Full time students of Arkansas schools, colleges or universities (with proof of enrollment)
? Residents who are full time students of schools outside of Arkansas ?
Active-duty military personnel assigned to duty stations in Arkansas ?
Active-duty military who were Arkansas Residents when entering service regardless of where they are stationed

Go to the game and fish website, I saw that there were still permits and you can research the WMA around little rock, or head west to the Ozarks, lots of good areas open to public.
Archery season starts Sept 22 so you have about 2 months to scout and get ready
