Deer backdoor is working

Does this mean I drew? It list both 591 and 491.

Sweet - thanks for the reply! Now if I only knew what... haha. I'm so indecisive. I applied and then like a fool, submitted a change to my application. It doesn't matter to me if they got the change done or not or which tag I drew now, I'm just glad a tag will be in hand this fall!
 
Me too, 591 deer, looks like I'll be chasing muley bucks in Colorado again this year. Now I just have to wait to see if it was my 1st or 2nd choice.

got a deer tag but points aren't up yet so don't know if it is 1st choice or not.

Anyone with a 590 for moose?????
I don't yet, hoping they haven't put up moose yet though.

You and me both! Course we both know they usually do Moose before deer.:-(
 
Looks like my son and I will be chasing muleys through the creek bottoms again! My first year for archery (his 3rd), so this should be a fun season!

Go thru the g&p site like your buying a license. When you get to a screen with items on file look for a 500# in front of non res deer. Good luck!
 
491 for me too. does that mean you haven't drawn or you didn't draw? in other words is the draw done?

I think each drawing is complete with a click of a button in today's computer world, but maybe it takes time to enter them all. I'd say if it doesn't change over the next couple days you didn't draw.
 
Has anybody ever drawn a tag even though the backdoor method indicated that they didn't?
 
*#&#$@*#$&@%#*!!!!! Still showing a 491 code for me, even after chasing a historical 8+ point unit with 11 points. Hmmmmm..........
 
Like I said, I don't know if it's over with the click of a button or it takes a couple days to complete.
 
Drew a 4th hunt last year, but had to turn the tag back in. Put in for the same hunt this year and didn't draw :-(.

I just didn't know if he had a secret method of checking.

I most likely drew my 4th.
 
Epic tag drought continues for me. Last 120 applications and counting. We had ~50/50 shot at first choice with 9 points, and a ~50/50 shot at second choice. Over the last 2 1/2 years statistically I should have drawn 5-6 tags but got nothing. OK plan D is next Oregon elk with 18 points. There should be only 2 other guys trying for my tag there 33% chance.

Lots of point creep. 67 4th took 15 points last year and it looks like I didn't draw it this year with 18.

Initial reports... Wife drew not sure if it is first choice. Most likely a 2nd choice, but tag increases may have gotten her into a great tag.

Point creep appears to be as much as 3 points on some top hunt codes...

I am not hunting CO and heading to WY easy to draw tag instead...

Looks like 8 points got it done for 22 3rd season. I know a few in with the same points I have. Now the work begins...I'm stoked!

I would assume so as its the "master system" if you will.
 
I supposedly had 50/50. No luck for me though.

Stupid question but is the draw for CO residents and Non-residents at the same time? I assume some of the above that say they drew are non residents?

I went to buy a license and then checked on deer. It says on file: 2016 non res deer app, but I don't have a 400 code or a 500 code? Am I looking in the right place?

did you click on purchasing habitat stamps... when you scroll down to bottom of page there is another box that lists all license/app's you have on file for current year. That is where you will see 400 series codes and then 500 series codes too if you drew a tag for any given species...

grizz I think you are in the application page. Need to be in
the buying a license or stamp page. I did the same thing.
 
I'm not getting a 491 or 591 option for deer tag. Just showing 491 deer app. Does this mean I did not draw or the draw is not complete yet? I applied for a unit that had 50% draw with 3 points last year and I have 5 points. I also applied for a 2nd choice in a unit that had leftover tags last year. I would have thought for sure I would draw one of them.
 
I really think it's over in the push of a button but I'm not on the inside. So without a 590 or 591 # I think yer sol.
 
You'll have 490 res deer app or 491 non res deer app. You need 590 res deer or 591 non res deer to indicate a successful draw.
