Draw Out Report Question

Does anyone know why in the Draw Out report they sometimes combine multiple seasons for the same unit. For example, GMU 38 doe mule deer has 2nd, 3rd and 4th season combined. It says one person drew at 3rd choice, but doesn't specify by season. This doesn't make any sense to me.

Thanks in advance.

Colorado?s draw and application system is the worst I put in for out of all western states. If they went back to the mail in application it would be faster than their online version. They need to take a few pointers from Utah.

Yes they give X amount of tags for the group.
For example just say they a lot 50 tags you may have 20 drawn for the 2nd 20 for the 3rd and 10 for the 4th but once the 50th tag is issued regardless the qauta is filled.
Not sure why they do though. Unit 61 rifle Elk is the same.

That is a float group. Meaning the CPW does not care what season you choose, simply that they are offering X number of licenses for that area. So everyone from 2nd, 3rd, and 4th all enter to the draw together and all play the game together.

As stated, the top PP people get the tags, regardless of which season they apply for. In theory, all the tags could be awarded to only one of the seasons.

However, you can only hunt the season that you apply for and are awarded a tag for. For you, it is still a single season tag

The Colo computer system seems like it was built back before electricity. Doesn't matter if it's Parks and Wildlife or Motor Vehicles or Dept. of Regulatory Agencies or any of it. Too damn hard to work it. None of them are user friendly. I just used the Florida system for Boat and car registration, a joy and a breeze, and then they THANK you.

Thanks for all of the replies. That definitely makes sense now. It is weird, but makes sense. The "draw out reports" are pretty cool. Nice to see where the leftovers have been as well. Changing up our deer hunting game this year since the place we used to hunt on the plains isn't an option any more; it is like starting all over. A good challenge that I've been enjoying.
