Antsy for draw results!

Getting so excited for draw results. If i get any choice i made for deer i will be loving it! Choices 1 through 3 are realistic for their positions, 4th is shot in the dark to fill out choices.

Point as first choice for elk (will =6 resident pts) and hope to get my 2nd choice as i got it last yr as leftover. I am mostly a deer freak but getting antsy to shoot a bull after getting close last yr a couple times. And seeing a nice 6x7 at 50 yds on my cow hunt! Ive shot a few cows on private land, but ready for a bull! I guess i'm as ready as i'll ever be to pack one out of the backcountry...

Points for sheep, goat, antelope (i ll have to start researching what to do with them soon, this will be 5pts, i think), bear.

Entered for moose but not expected, though there is super slim chance...

Good luck to all - whose applications are processed after mine!!!

Will be lookin for this guy's friend i had in crosshairs, sleeping at 100 yds two years ago. He was about 26" wide, nice 4x4 with decent browtines, but only 8 " forks or so. I thought he was about 170".

I hope he is still alive here two yrs later! There was also a bigger framed 3x4 with no brows that i prob would have shot if he was first buck i laid eyes on after stalking into their living room. And a 30" 3x2 i would have gone after if i blew out the three bucks. He lived a little lower on mountain and didnt really hang with the group. I ran into him while packing out the buck pictured.

I will be super happy to see any of the three bucks i mentioned as they were all nice two years ago. This winter's moisture should produce some nice antler growth !

Guarantee the draw has occurred, hopefully using this time to QC things to avoid some of the embarrassments that have happened in the past.

Less than 2 weeks now! Maybe they get it done early this year?? LOLOL

Either way it won't be long now

Anyone think there's a chance we'll see them this week? Sure would be nice to be able to change my sons OR draw if needed.

Hope that is true! That would really help me. I'm right on the point edge of good CO elk tag and my son will draw OR. I'd love to be able to change his before the June 1 deadline if I draw.

I will, but I wouldn't put a lot of stock in this. I suspect the email, the cc hit, and the update on your CP&W account will be nearly simultaneous, and it will happen from the 3rd to the 7th.

So it's late on the 29th today and I haven't heard anyone say their card has been hit sooo......

#livelikezac

I just checked. Nothing to report, other than my wife and kids spending all my money. Business as usual.

>Thinking Tuesday a.m.

Some will hit Monday the 3rd, I forget which species goes off first, but it will be just as the regs layed it out. The new norm, till the next 5yr structure!

It seems like the elk draw always happens first and the deer a day or two later. Can't wait, good luck to all.

I got an email this morning from CPW that I needed to update my credit card so maybe that's a good sign.

buckhorn..........I be thinkin they want to charge something to your card. Come on Colo, post the results.....POST THE RESULTS!!!!!!

Nocal you have a chance.
Lots of tags. "Too many"
I'm antsy and my best odds are for a "hybrid"
Elk tag....
3 and 18 moose points is pretty much the same as 3 and 0...

Hcm. Kind of agree but 2 of the 3 and 0 guys drew ram tags in 19...
13 of the 232 of us with max 18 drew...im betting a 3 and 0 guy or 2 draws a bull moose tag...

LAST EDITED ON Jun-02-19 AT 12:45PM (MST)[p]There?s a handful with more. Based on last years numbers, should be 50/50

This might be a fun week! Decided to attempt to cash in 23 points for a late season unit 44 deer tag. May not be enough points to draw as a non-resident, but if I draw, I would appreciate any info from guys who have had the hunt or assisted on that hunt in the past. I have heard it is a fun hunt. I know it is very weather dependent. I have waited for a long time and will be looking for something special. Thanks in advance!

>Tomichi, 3 + 18 moose
>points is not the same
>as 3 + 0 points,
>but it is the same
>as 3 +1!!!!

Wrong 3+0 is in the game and they draw tags just look at the sheep, goat, and moose stats. Guys with three plus zero are pulling tags.

Thanks for the well wishes. Last year 3 NR applied for that hunt with 23 points and they all drew. Guess it depends how many had 22 last year and how many come out of the woodwork this year due to the favorable conditions. I waited this long! Figure I hopefully have a decade left where I can go wherever I need to in order to find a great buck! Finally drew a resident archery elk tag after waiting 16 years in AZ, so not all is bad.

10 people with 22 points put in last year, so good luck!

Like TX said 3 drew last year with 23 points, but you are in a pool of 10 other guys going after 3 tags. If nobody else dropped in you would have a 30% chance of drawing 44 4th. Good luck, I hunted 3rd season in 2012 and with no weather it was tough.

No offense but there is not a single tag in all of Colorado worth waiting for that long... you've missed out on over two decades of solid deer hunting.

You may be right on that. I retired a couple years ago and wanted to wait until I had enough free time to do the hunt justice. If drawn, I am hopeful that luck will provide some favorable weather and send the big boys out of the thick stuff. I realize there are no guarantee's of a monster buck showing up, but I have waited this long and will probably wait it out at this point. Gotta think it will happen within 5 years. Hope I last that long!

Well, coming down the home stretch... good luck to everyone in the draw. Just saw my credit card was hit for a PP for moose, so not tag there.

Anyone who who's truly put their time in, in this state will tell you the same thing. Anyout of state guy with limited knowledge of the unit in the last 5 years or so who's had the tag will tell you the same story; tough hunt, and there wasn?t a 200 incher crawling behind every bush like I dreamed it would be. 44 has great genetics, put it's honestly a tough hunt that has been put on a pedestal by the likes of sources like huntin fool and December governors tags.

Didn't draw the late 44 hunt. This year put in for other hunts because my nephew (who has never hunted before) moved to Denver last year and expressed an interest in hunting. I suggested some hunts for him to apply and I put in the same hunts as choice 2,3,4. Anyway, I drew 035,045,362,036. 2nd hunt. Not sure yet what he drew. Never stepped foot in any of these units. Should be fun regardless. Good luck gents!

>Drew deer 22 3rd season
>with 10 points non-res

I drew second season! Should be a fun hunt! Congrats on the 3rd season.

Drew my elk and deer tags. Interesting thing is that the charges just showed up on my credit card Tuesday and Wednesday. But the date of execution was listed as May 24 and 25??? Curious
