Card got hit for preference point fee ($50), and also looked at my account and the fee went from $7.00 to $57.00.

3 and 19...+ the 10 to 15 years we had moose tags before they started this new weighted system.

NR so I had to pay $109 for another seemingly worthless weighted point. Now the proud owner of 3WP16 haha!

Will reevaluate whether to continue with the purchase of the $100 preference point next year. It seems the more weighted points you acquire the less value they have going forward with the current system...

Good luck everyone!

DW, nada, just shows $7.00. Nothing on the CC either. I did not apply for a point though...

My current situation precludes me from caring about your opinion but go ahead and give voice to it anyway...

I had that one last year! Great time!

Can I ask. How are you guys seeing/knowing your drawing? Are your credit cards being hit or are you looking on the website on your account and the grey tab that states entered is changed to a green awarded or are your preference points gone...?

Thanks.

I got one for moose and lost all my pronghorn points.

It's the CP&W account. Either your points have changed or the price has changed. Cc hits are also giving hints.

I could not imagine paying that but how much is 5 K to you? That ramp in my pic is resting on my tailgate on the left side.

371 is a different story but why would you want to go there? There are lots of hidey holes that have never had a moose taken from them in 37. ?They just started printing their way to prosperity in those units, just a couple years ago they only had 1 tag/year

Where this guy lives they have never taken a bull ever. Huge bull his track was #2 on my "found " list but he just didn't trip my trigger at 35 yards He was a handsome fella tho

Seen, shot at, and MISSED with my 45-70 I had a bad case of bear fever for a few moments.

The NR archery took a tank out of the 37 unit just as he was reported to me by a friend. I saw another huge bull 200 yards out of the unit. Other than those I saw nothing that really was up to CO standards, or at least what I had hoped to locate.

I don't post much of value on this website anymore but you can read my story on rokslide under moose, title of "crossing a beaver dam on crutches"

Several badly broken bulls tht were big. Never saw the owner of the biggest track I found while scouting, due mostly to the whole "crutches " thing.

But I saw quite a few bulls and had a great time during what turned out to be maybe the best moose season (snowy and COLD) in CO history, Who knows what I may have found if I hadn't been crippled up and could have hit the back country with a string of 8-9 llamas. Gotta play the hand you are dealt... My bull was a 2 days left bull, nice but CO produces some monsters, which i could not find.

If it were me, I'd first call the CPW office for those units and ask them about moose. I'm not sure how to get the old info the CPW used to post on moose as far as historical kill coordinates but that'd be something I'm sure they have so you'd just need to get that to show you very important info. If they are not far away from the road, I'd certainly do it DIY as long as you have friends to help pack or horses "on-call". BTW, I have a vacation home in Summit Co and we had moose in our driveway this past winter!
