What do you think CPAW chooses?

Alternative 3 for early season.

Alternative 2 for late season, but do a 7 day hunt for 2nd and 3rd seasons rather than the 5 day hunts proposed.

'm not a fan of shortening the 3rd season just to get a bigger break between the seasons. I truly don't see this as something that will actually move more game back to public property from private grounds. Once those animals know the bullets are flying starting in 1st season, they know the boundaries and also know that safety lies within them.

I'm 100% against the bear suggestions. It would require a deer/elk license in an area you may not be interested in hunting deer/elk, but only bear. I know our group bear hunts an area we would never elk hunt in, and have no interest saving the number of points required to draw a deer tag.

I'm ok with the changes to antelope by adding an extra weekend on the back end.

Moose is interesting with the option to hunt all three season via the open season option. It would certainly likely mean more moose being killed, which might actually be a strategy with the increasing moose populations. It would certainly be nice for those lucky enough to draw a tag.

I'm somewhat on the fence about the OTC elk options. I understand that it will likely require some folks to use those points they've been banking, but within that same thought, they will still likely be able to purchase a leftover tag and still go hunting while saving those points.

Regardless of what our own opinions are, the most important thing we can do is comment. If we don't comment, then we have no one else to blame but ourselves when CPW decides to do something ridiculous like their bear suggestions.
