Unit 8 late season archery

I applied for Arizona for the first time this year and drew this tag. I have no knowledge of this unit but I am still pretty excited to go play. I would love to hear from anyone with knowledge of this unit especially if you have any idea what the hunting is like the last two weeks in November! Any info is appreciated. Are there large numbers of elk here? What size of bulls can be found? Weather? Good places to eat, camp or even visit for fun? Thanks in advance. Should be a fun time in the hills.

The late archery hunt is TOUGH!!! It can be done , but tough. The unit has roads all over so getting away from people is not easy. Elk all thru out the unit. Weather can be hot & dry or cold as hell, be prepared for anything. There are a few big bulls in the unit like everywhere else, but on the average
280 to 300. There will be a lot of guys in there scouting for the upcoming late rifle hunt that opens the last day of your hunt. Williams has a few places to eat & bearizona zoo. You pretty much camp anywhere off one of the many forest roads. Good luck on your hunt,

Camping up on top off Perkinsville road will let you have phone and internet coverage. Try 110 or 354. Down in canyons are spotty.
