Looking to speak to others that have experience hunting archery Elk on the Navajo Nation.

You might want to put this up on the NM board also. Maybe some of those Farmington or Gallup boys will chime in on the NM part of the rez. On a sorta related note I was shocked to see a roadkill (I-40) 5 point yesterday a couple of miles east of Holbrook.

Call the Navajo fish and game dudes too. They used to be a decent bunch. And don't forget to ask about NAPI;-)

I wouldn't expect much from this hunt. There is a reason there are leftover tags. I've done it myself & it's a pretty rough.

I wouldn't bother calling the G&F over there either. lol Trust me on that one.

Elk population is very limited on the "Rez". Having said that, people "in the know" do kill very big elk.
