I was at Cabelas today and I got to talking with a older gentleman about Coues hunting and how they went about it back in the 50s and 60s.I told him I"m still picking cactus out of my legs from last year,he said back then they used to cut the legs out of a couple of pair of old jeans, pull them over the legs of the jeans their wearing and sew them on,wonder what other kind of tricks they used back in the day.

Bread bags over their socks to make their socks water proof for a few minutes.

I'm bald as an egg, but carry two long handled combs for removing cholla. An old timer told me never be without one or a Leatherman or I'd be in for some painful lessons in AZ

Easy, buy a ticket and license to hunt grown up whitetails in the midwest. lol. Just can't put myself through such torture for a little pygmy!
