Awesome yeah I scouted up there this past weekend and there is a crap ton of snow on the east side

My nephew drew this hunt this year. We thought we knew where we were heading but we went and looked around on Saturday and there is still a lot of snow on the mountain. Hopefully we can find some birds. Not sure where we are going to start now. Good luck

Yeah I've been up past couple weeks and snow was to much to deep for them to find food I'm thinking lower grounds meadows maybe north side towards placitas I took the back road looks good but I didn't go far enough in to park and hike to look I'll head out this weaknd and check again last time I hiked I fell in a 5 foot snow drift so snow shoes will be on this list of gear just in case I need them

I drew unit 8 as well. Finally had the chance this past weekend to go out. No sightings. I was in the placitas area. Came here hoping for some insight. Wondering if anyone has gotten any. Unit 8 Sandia ranger district
