Disclaimer, I couldn't be more green at steelhead fishing (only been 3 days in my life), so take my synopsis with a grain of salt.

2 of us fished all day, from probably 8am until 530pm, from a drift boat. Weather was really nice, overcast, no wind and the temp near 40. Tried 4 different bait/rig setups.

We caught one nice fish and got one other decent bite, but he spit it out before we could get our hands on the rod. IME, for us to land our first steelhead, it was a great day.

For guys that fish more routinely, I would guess that would be considered an average day?
