So I have never been into the Franck Church but I was wondering what my best access would be to backpack into it.

With a couple million acres to look at, I think you need to narrow down your area a little before you get a helpful answer. What are you interested in for the trip - camping, walking, fishing great photography??

I already booked a Crags Horseback drop off trip and will backpack in to a different Crags area also. Frank Church is huge. The Salmon River Canyon is deeper than the Grand Canyon.
It can have long hiking trails with little water so research wisely or carry enough.

so it will be for scenery, fishing and scouting. I was thinking of the west side of the wilderness.

Access via the end of the road past Big Creek airstrip. Into the Frank and down Big Creek.

The Yankee Fork and up over the summit to Loon Creek and the Diamond D has some amazing country and wildlife also.
