Okay now that the application period has ended what did everyone put in for? And what units? Good luck to everyone that put in. Goat unit50 for me.

Last 5 year's OIL posting dates FWIW:

2014: Tuesday, May 27
2015: Friday, May 15
2016: Tuesday, May 17
2017: Wednesday, May 17
2018: Friday, June 8

I have a theory that IDFG is actually withholding results until the last minute in hopes to spark enough of an outrage that the people will go to the state legislature and demand they repeal the law that forced them to use an outside contractor in the first place. There is really no other explanation, it really is as simple as inputting all of the license numbers into a random number generator
 
There were a lot of pissed off NR's last year after the state held their money hostage for 3 months. I can't say that I blame them, but you have to pay to play.

Plus all of the FADED tags that you could not read, it was a real CLUSTER. With not having to contend with paper applications this year one would think the results would come out alot sooner.

I was told they fired the contractor from last year and they have a new one. Turkey took 18 days this year and bear took 12. Hopefully soon!!
 
I'd be more pissed about missing the Wyoming and other draw deadlines around the west without knowing if I have to plan for a OIL tag in Idaho. Sure makes it tough to figure out vacation, etc.
 
I think it's funny when everyone starts going crazy when they aren't out in a week or two. The pamphlet says June 10th if you see them before then that's icing on the cake.
 
Very frustrating year. Ten states so far. No draw. Donated 200$ to the Idaho cause just like so many others. Fn sux
 
Thanks! I guess now the work really begins. I have no idea what I got myself into, but its going to be fun figuring it out.
 
Good choice! I saw 4 or 5 every morning and evening I was in there. 1 was a monster! I drew the buck tag last year. Put in for elk this year.
