I was lucky to draw a moose tag in 59. I was in the country this weekend for the first time in 30 years. Just covered a bunch of ground and checked out the country. I was hoping some generous soul who has already killed their one Idaho moose might be willing to give a couple hints on areas to concentrate or not concentrate depending on how generous you feel. Thanks

Pm coming.. There are a few still around.

I've spent some time in 59. You could go a day or two without even seeing a moose. Overall the moose concentration is low but that doesn't mean you won't find a good one. There are not many tags for moose in 59 so you won't have much competition. Your best time to see bulls is during the rut which seems to be the last couple weeks of September into the first couple weeks of October. You will see many other hunters in 59 during archery season (elk and deer in September) and during rifle deer season in October. Many will be willing to share moose information with you. If you put your time in, you will find a bull moose. You might get lucky and find a good bull your first day out but plan on putting in a week or two if want to find an older bull.

PM sent.
