Unit 44 outfitter help

My buddy drew unit 44 rifle mule deer. Any one know of a good outfitter for that unit. So far a friend has recommended Sun Valley Outfitters. Any other recommendations? Thanks fellas and good luck this year.

I know most of the guides for Sun Valley Outfitters, and they are a top notch crew. I don't know of anyone else in the area, but I can vouch for them! Hard working guys and I see some great bucks pop up every fall for them.

Hey, report back on his hunt. Be interested to see what types of bucks the outfitter turns up and how they get after them.

not sure if my buddy is going to hire an outfitter. he's 50/50 with the price being $6950-8900. Thats a lot of money. But either way, if he goes outfitter or not, ill report back to ya

Their website shows $6,950. That is darn spendy for a deer hunt. I'd see if they would negotiate at all or if another hunter is using them and they can go 2 hunters per guide.

While SVO is a good outfit, and take great care of you. I wouldn't go outfitted. Lot's of deer, and it's fun finding them. It's a great time. Good luck.

Being they are the only licensed guide in the unit is not a right to blatantly stick to the hunter!! $6900 is ridiculous considering you already hold the tag which is the hardest part of the entire deal.

Good news is that I don't hear people complaining about all the outfitters in ID getting in there way while they hunt. Not true in all parts, but in most. I'm sure if they allowed more competition prices would come down, but so would the impact. Outfitters seem to have a way to get between average joe and some of the better parts of a unit, rightly or not.
