No Spring Chinook Season

Well, it looks like there will be no spring Chinook season here on the Wenatchee/Icicle. Not enough fish returning from the out-migration stock of 2015. Bummer. I find that fishery kind of boring, but it beats not fishing at all.

Get out to the coast and do a tuna trip. Gaurentee you wont be bored .Fight like crazy and great eating. I get more excited about fishing for them now since salmon fishing seems to get worse every year.

Fish coming in late this year definitely didn't help my Springer slump at all.

I am banking on a sockeye season at Lake Wenatchee. It is my favorite of all fishing here in WA. Followed closely by fishing for perch through the ice at Fish Lake. I have to tell you all, with all this beautiful water here....the rivers, creeks, and lakes, in North Central Washington, I find the trout fishing very substandard. I had more opportunities to fly fish for trout in Arizona and New Mexico, than I have here.
