Saw a wolf today here in Kali.Sitting in 3 ft of snow at Goodrich meadows off hwy 36. Not a care in the world, licking his juevos 100 yards off the rd.In Idaho I'd smoke him and put my tag on him. Kali sucks...BH1

Prolly one of the three packs established in the state. That's right near where the Dfg told me they had an established pack. Deer hunting is just going to get more restrictive with reduced opportunities.?

Wish my phone cam was working..dropped it in Lake Almanor last week. 2nd time. I do have some cool Kali wolf pics tho. All taken in the Taylorsville area. And yes, I think the 3 pac theory is bunk. I hope they dont eat my North east bull before I draw the tag...Bh1

That was a year ago so old info. Cdfw didn't say how old or large the packs were, or whether they had that data. Stands to reason that with no competition the packs will multiply quickly.

3 ft of snow at Goodrich meadows, no snow over the mnt in Greenville..Tons of wintering deer, 10 mayb 12 miles away..I think he was a young Male, out cruising..Bh1

Its depressing.....best part is how the elk population has exploded in our region on our dime and with hunter cooperation to keep poachers at bay on the hope that someday we might draw a tag.....now they feed the cats and tomorrow they will feed the wolves..

I spend a lot of time in Plumes county and from my experience and of those I talk to, there's more wolves up there than you think and it's going to get worse.
