Turkeys Sierra national forest

I'm taking a trip with the fam to the Yosemite area and was looking at onX
And saw some areas of Sierra national forest and was wondering if the turkey hunting is any good. I was planning on bringing my shotgun just to see

Can you be a little more
Specific of where you are going to be at? There are areas up there that have had nice population increases in turkeys the last 5 years or so they just seem to be in certain pockets.

The area I was originally looking at was around Miami mountain and pilot peak if you know that area

Are you sure that's the sierra NF? Sounds like the Stan. Where you are staying is close to both.

EHh sorry can't help too much there I am more familiar with the highway 120 side. I know guys that hunt turkeys around Mariposa but I know there is a lot of private property up there.. just be careful not to wind up on private property. Good luck to you.

if you bring a shotgun you will see zero turkeys ,,,, if you dont they will be everywhere
