DRAW

LAST EDITED ON Jun-05-19 AT 05:40PM (MST)[p]That's what I'm thinking when we wake up they should posted.

I hope to be doing similar in the next couple years. It's just so hard getting started when you've never hunted another state and is a little overwhelming trying to decide where to dedicate your time and money for points

Since I don't want to draw kali deer this year, I put in for X5B this year, probably for the first time ever.

Since I spend 25-40 days out there every year, it would be kool to draw. I have a punchers chance. I've drawn tags with longer odds.

But if not, oh well. I will be over pointed by 2 points for the unit I want next year.

Good luck to those that applied.

Best thing you can do when your ready is to treat it as a vacation and don't put too much emphasis on killing something. I used to worry about going so far away and not returning with something. A couple tag soup but fun adventure trips changed that.

I hope so that's my Birthday , I got an antelope tag back in 2003 on June 12 th

We live in a State that covers most of the West Coast, but has very little to offer. A smaller State, such as Virginia on the opposite coast has much more opportunities for hunters.

B Zones 14,642
D3-5 Zone 19,023

I see roughly 33,000 "opportunities" right here, both the B zones and D3-5 have big deer, and if you scout, hunt hard, and have a positive mindset, you can still have a quality hunt.

Tule Elk and Sheep are the reason I buy a CA Hunting License, the rest I apply for but I don't wait years for the so called "premium" hunts.

I saw a BIG antelope buck near the lake over memorial weekend. Outside the refuge by a mile or so. I dont know how much they move between now and season but....hes out there somewhere. Good luck with your tag.
