So after two plus decades of not having a hunting license or accumulated points I retook the test and put in for every tag and draw available. I should have bought a loto ticket also because I scored not only X9A, but Also a Lassen Zone 4, period 2 Pronghorn Tag!
I live in Mammoth so Im just wondering who else scored locally also?

Im wondering if anyone has some decent Lassen area info regarding that unit after our crazy winter?
Ive been up there and Im familliar with area generally, but have obviously never hunted it. Also any contact info on butchers and taxidermy up there?

So going off last years odds to draw those tags in the Random it would have been the following.
0.3 % Antelope
0.7 % X9A
I can't even imagine what the odds of drawing both in the same draw would have been.

I have a friend with private property that has some monster antelope on it. He does charge a trespass fee. The past 3 years, have taken 3-4 BC bucks off of it. Let me know your thoughts

Yes I did. Thank you. planning to meet him and talk details when I go up for my first scouting trip in a week or so. Much appreciated!

Forget paying to shoot an Antelope on private property, I can tell you where a trophy buck is waiting for you at 200 yards, beautiful, great rack Antelope on BLM land. I had the scope on him during archery, but my buddy decided not to stay still, and it ran, not far, but could not get close after that. With a gun, fish in a barrel.

If he is that close to the road he probably will eat it during the first period.

My wife has a period 2 tag also. Hoping a decent on makes it past period 1.

Good luck everyone.
