Nevada Antelope

My wife and I had a good Antelope hunt in Nevada this past week. We missed the first 5 days due to another commitment but there were still plenty of goats left and we only saw one other goat hunter in 5 days.

I want to thank Geohunter, nitis, iowacity and Uncle Buck for their PMs and information.

The finale was a 220 yard shot, standing, shooting off of a bi-pod. One bound and piled up. She's become a damn good shot on game, not as impressive on paper.

Nice lope. Congrats to her. That wouldn't happen to be Kelly Creek area would it. Looks allot like an area my son hunted a few years ago.

Actually I was wrong about Kelly Creek, it looks more like the back side of Merritt Mtn. I think we camped at that exact spot several years ago. It was a year after a fire had swept through there. But some of the aspens there were the biggest diameter I have ever seen.

Lots of country to cover from that spot but north/northeast of Merritt.

He doesn't score as well as he looks. Great genetics. Another 2 years, he puked be a pig!!

If it was my tag, I would have targeted the monster we saw, but she'd rather hunt, see new animals and country..

And I was god with that.
