License question

Since Nevada switched to a 365 day license last year, will we be able to use last years license to apply this year? It would be nice to save that $155 every other year

I don't know the answer for sure but I'd say yes. I looked up my license from last year and it shows an expiration date of mid April. Normally they expire the end of February regardless of when it was purchased the year prior. I hope it's still good from last year as that will save me a lot of money every year applying as a non resident.

Gotta be valid during the draw. If it runs out mid April I'd say you need a new one.

What if you buy points only? With a baby on the way in August my fall isn't going to have much time left for hunting out of state this year anyway

Unless something has changed, Nevada makes you purchase a hunting license to apply for permits or purchase points. If you don't apply, you don't lose your points until 2 years of not applying.

Prior to last year the licenses always expired before the new application period opened, now they are 365 day licenses

You get two years of bonus points in Utah with the 365 from date of purchase license

I bought mine last year in August and it shows it is not due to be replaced until August of this year.

So when I go bunny hunting I get a new license

From what I read In the 2019 book it looks like each license is good for one app so we will not get two points per license.

I couldn't really find that info in the regulations, not that I am doubting you, I just did not see it. Can you point me to a page number?

I switched over to applying in NV every other year. As mentioned in a post above it's possible to keep pts if you don't miss applying 2 consecutive years in a row. That way I am out the cost of applying every other year rather than yearly. Obviously I only gain a bonus pt every other year but that's ok because I have 16 bonus pts.

So you literally don't put a app in the one year or you apply and don't buy a license so you at least have a chance to draw?

Question is answered now, I tried to apply and despite the fact that I currently have an ?active? license it would not allow me to apply without purchasing a license. Lotta good that 365 day license does
