Drew the early season elk tag in these units. Just starting to research the units. Would love to hear from others who have experience here. The season dates have been moved up 2 weeks October 5-21. Thanks for any help.

Sent you a PM with some places to look.
Be prepared for a lot of people. I would try looking for areas that allow you to get a little ways away from the road and off the beaten path. That being said, I've seen good elk in those units in odd nooks, very close to roads.

Hicks Mt north to Idaho in 061 and Miller creek off Copper Mt in 071 are the places I've seen the most elk in past hunts... seems like every ridge has a road up there, I wish you luck!

Way to many roads! 330+ is a good bull. Not much need tp hike in that unit. Drive glasd, drive glass.

I drew the late season antlerless elk tag unit 61,71 please share your experience whit me ,I never been there at all.
