I'm across the border in Oregon but have hunted northern Nevada my whole life. I love 31 and the 6's and want to find a landowner in those units now that I can afford to buy a tag (within reason).
The NDOW basically just hands out a list of landowner tag ranches for the entire state when you ask. They don't say whether any of those ranchers want to be approached or not. Should I just start writing letters and hope for the best? I'm assuming that's what the tag brokers do, but I don't see a good reason for tag brokers to exist with forums like this around.
Anyone have any insight on how to connect with a landowner who wants to sell a tag or two on a regular basis, to the same honest guy? I figure that since I'm happy to hunt public/backcountry ground, and don't want to hunt ag fields, someone out there would want to deal with me. Just don't know how to find that person!
