80 deer spotted.
10 bucks.
3 stalks.
#2 got me to within 20 yards of 4 bedded bucks. Had to break a stick to get them to stand up. And I didn't have a clean shot.
#3 got me within 30 yards several times, but brush again was my nemesis.
Stumbled on a buck while driving around and got two shots at 42 and 43 yards. Missed low. I am certain it was my fault on that. I got too excited to see where the arrow went that I dropped the shot both times.
Going tomorrow afternoon for another go.

I killed one of the four bucks I stalked on yesterday.
Got a stalk on him and two other bucks right below the top of a mountain.
53 yards steep down hill, strong updrafts and a strong cross wind.
Put the pin on his ham and hit him in the spine. Dropped him in his tracks, and I had to put one more in his chest at closer range. Definitely not proud of the shot, but, it's a dead deer. I definitely got lucky. Lessons learned Grilling the tenderloins now.
Will post pics after a while.
