WAFJ!!! (QUICK MOVE OBAMA!)

And Obama will get his revenge/payback against Bishop for being such a douche and against the Bundys (Gold Butte on behalf of Reid). I doubt Bishop can over turn a desgination in Bears Ears or Grand Staircase. I don't think he has the votes.

If Bishop does have the clout to overturn monuments and weaken the antiquities act we have a lot bigger things to worry about than Bears Ears. We're screwed. Just remember Bess, Bishop is YOUR Congressman. You and your pals keep voting him in.

Why are the tribes so into the monument designation? It would be a huge monument when you look at the map. How much private land would be included?

So either you don't live in Bishop's district or you voted for his democrat opponent in November?

He has support from a lot of Utards, he won 65.5% of the vote.

The Utard congressional delegation looks the grim reaper of death for public land users, people who enjoy nature and anybody who wants leave our public lands to the next generation.

Rob Bishop, Jason Chaffetz, Mia Love, Chris Stewart, Rob Bishop, Mike Lee (I would include Orrin Hatch but I am uncertain he is alive) all Utards, all against public lands and what they mean for hunters.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-15-16 AT 04:39PM (MST)[p]Bishop is such a scourge on hunters and public land users he had to be named twice.

So Utards didn't vote for this freak show of anti public land zealots?

Tell me this what exactly does the Bears Ear Monument prevent you from doing, that you are able to do now?

Why are you and the Utard delegation in congress opposed to the Bears Ear Monument?
Is that you are opposed to protecting wild places with wild big game population? Or are you opposed to having a place free of ATV tracks and beer cans to camp? Or is it that you want your legacy to be gas and oil well roads in this area so you don't have hike in?

Please make your argument about why Obama should consult you and guys like Mike Lee or even give two $h@ts what Utards think?

Given any of your Representatives and Senators druthers this would be owned by the somebody else and you would be SOl accessing it ever again. Maybe the Mormon Church would buy it but I don't think you want to be that devout to be able to access it.

Those lands are owned by everyone, not just Utards. So locals don't get the final say on what happens. It looks like from your chart 48% of Utards surveyed don't really have an issue with it. Probably Not isn't a very strong opinion.

Where was you outrage 16 years ago in the waning day of the Clinton Administration when he formed the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument, here in my hunting grounds. three days before he left office he signed the monument designation.

http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/ws/?pid=62516

My family had grazing allotments on part of the monument and we hunted much of the Cow Creek area. It is still great hunting.

You think you are special because you are a Utard or that others should care what happens to you just because you might lose some points.

It already happened here, more than once and nary a single Utard cared about it. So tell me why anyone else should give two $h!ts about you and your points you might lose? Let's hear the Utard version of why they deserve more say then their fellow taxpayers in New Jersey.

Elkass,
Will you get a "vote"on the Bears Ear? I didn't get asked about the Upper Mo. River Breaks Monument, just like you won't get asked about the Bears Ear. Utards deserve everything coming their way because of the anti hunting/anti public land representatives and senators they continue to send to DC.

Why should any other American care about you guys if you continue to send people to DC who want to sell our hunting spots? The majority of the public want to preserve large blocks of land for the future.

I get it that Utards don't that because of they want to privatize it and then sell to the LDS church. You may have to become a more serious about your Mormon religion if that comes to pass. I don't imagine the church would let you hunt if you are not a devotee.

Nemont

Nemont, National monument is not the answer, Nor is Bishop and Chavets PLI plan an answer, the best case scenario would be to leave it the hell alone, and keep it under USFS and BLM. Both plans suck to high hell.

Cantkillathing,

I agree with you, I actually highly dislike the Antiquities Act use of Monument designations because I don't believe that is proper use of executive authority but Congress ceded that power to the Executive a long time ago.

I am curious what Utards expect when they send anti public lands members to congress? Suppose there is any discussion that "we" need to tie up these lands as much as possible now, to make transfer harder for the Utard contigent?

I think it is obvious that a majority of Utards want public lands transferred to the states and sold off to the highest bidders. How else to you explain that ALL of the Utah's Representatives and Senators support transfer and all incumbents won. It certainly appears that vast majority of people from Utah don't really want those lands kept public.

The people Elkass should be the most upset with with their fellow Utah Residents for electing people who want to transfer these lands. Unfortunately there is a long history of these monuments getting done in the last days of a presidential term. It sucks for sure.

Just like every loudmouth post you have posted, you beotch like a little girl. I never voted for a Clinton ever and certainly did not vote even once for Obama. I also haven't voted for anti public lands congressmen and Senators like Utards love to.

How about instead of being a girly man about it, why not spend your time and energy fighting it instead of being here on the interweb acting like a giant pu@@y and whining?

I wish everyone in Utah the best of luck and hope for their sake they don't get this rammed down their throats. I will say Watching your fake conservative implosion and self puffery would almost make such a monument designation worth it in the end but that would just make you more of whiner then you already are.

WAFJ you are when you pretend you didn't vote straight Republican on every ballot you have cast. Tell me how Utah sends so many anti public lands people to congress if you and yours don't vote for them. They are all just like you, fake conservatives who think that Teddy Roosevelt's heritage and our hunting access isn't worth preserving.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-19-16 AT 05:14PM (MST)[p]So this is Utard logic: it is a plank in the Republican platform pushed by the Utard contingent in congress to be included to get rid of public. Yet "Although on Average,The R is getting the Vote!" but you didn't vote for any anti public lands jokers? That is impossible because that is the only kind of Utard Republican there is in congress. 100% of Utards congressional delegation are anti public lands

You better hope that Obama doesn't hate you so much to take away your sheep points. Have you called him and begged him not sign this Monument or is all your energy spent here on MM.com spinning your wheels.

Your head is going to explode, on the upside the electoral college elected Trump as President but probably he won't be in the big chair in time to save ya.

One thing NeMont you need to understand the frustration we have here in the west. Bureaucrats have dictated how they see fit to govern the ground from an office in DC. Every year the rules and regulations of this so called public grounds has been getting more and more regulated, less grazing, less multi use, less trails, less camping. The USFS and BLM have quit being managers of public grounds and going to policing the grounds. They use to do logging, clearing, habitat work, watershed keep up, etc. Now they carry guns and look for reasons to kick you off public grounds. We are getting sick of this, cattlemen have lost there livelihoods, forests are being over grown and dying because of disease, and becoming huge fire hazards, winter ranges are being over grown with prickly pear and cheat grass. We have lost water storage and water. So until you come live in Utah and feel the wrong doings of D.C. And the bureaucratic then you would understand our reasoning of wanting to run our grounds governed by our own elected officials, and if they wanted to sale off public grounds they would be strung up.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-20-16 AT 09:21AM (MST)[p]

I live in a county with 2.5 million acres of public lands. What you a saying is a lot of hyperbole. Some of it is true and reflects the current administration which is about the change. Some of it is simply borrowing the Chaffetz/Bishop talking points of "Federal government is bad at everything, the state government isn't".

I grew up on a cattle ranch with public lands grazing permits from the BLM, The State of Montana and the Fort Belknap Tribes. My wifes family still has BLM leases and State leases they graze on. If cattle men have been put out of business over the last 5 years then they are just failed business like the million of others across the country. I am pro public lands grazing but Ranchers are no different then the Store owner on mainstreet who has to make their books balance or go out of business. Lots of three and four generation family businesses have been put out of business, why should ranchers be any different?

Would you build your business based upon land you don't own and have a permit issued for the use of but not a right? Ranchers already get below market grazing permits, you didn't hear them griping with cattle were at historic highs just 18 months ago did you?

So how much influence have you had over your states current and former sales of State Owned lands to private individuals? Of the 6 million acres Utah was granted at Statehood a little over half, 3.3 million acres remain owned by the state. What makes you think you can control what a single legislative session and Gov. can do?

Also I thought for most Westerners their word is their bond?

Your forefathers both agreed to and ratified the following language in the Utah Enabling act:

Second. That the people inhabiting said proposed State do agree and declare that they forever disclaim all right and title to the unappropriated public lands lying within the boundaries thereof; and to all lands lying within said limits owned or held by any Indian or Indian tribes; and that until the title thereto shall have been extinguished by the United States, the same shall be and remain subject to the disposition of the United States, and said Indian lands shall remain under the absolute jurisdiction and control of the Congress of the United States;
