Well it is that time of the year again.
Our Hunter Ed team will be holding a one-day supplemental class in Kingman, AZ for any NR who has taken Hunter ED in their home state since 1980 and has a card to prove it!
This is a 12-hour class, goes from 7 a.m. until about 7 p.m. and covers a lot of material, including the latest draw stats.
Upon graduation you will get the card, plus you will have earned a permanent bonus point for ALL of AZ's big game species, including elk, deer, sheep, antelope, etc.
If you want to register for the class, you will have to contact Dave Williams at 623-236-7434 and then FAX him a copy of your Hunter Ed card. He will then put you on the class roster. If you're not on the roster, I can't teach you, it's that simple.
Class will be held at the Mohave Sportsman Club's 7 Mile Hill Range. Directions will be sent to you by G&F when you get registered.
I will be arranging for a discount at a local motel (Silver Queen 928-757-4315) for those who will be coming in on Friday evening, or need to to stay over after class. When you register tell them you are taking the Hunter Ed class and you'll get a small discount.
For those coming in from a long ways, get a cheap gambling junket flight to Vegas for Friday, bring the little lady and let her see the sights/sounds of Sin City, while you come down (100 miles) and take the class on Saturday. Then you fly home on Sunday.
For those who are just one point off of the max for any of the big game species, but especially deer, it's the only way you'll ever draw those "PREMIUM" tags!
If you are a bowhunter, there might be some leftover javelina tags available (these are draw tags), so if you have time, plan on hunting them for a few days before or after the class in areas close to Kingman. Archery deer season will also be open, and those tags are over the counter.
If you have any questions, call Mr. Williams or me at 928-681-4867. I can be reached via e-mail at [email protected]
Be patient, I've got more hunts to go on in the next month or so, but I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I'm leaving on the 28th be back in mid-November.
Oh, our next (and final) NR class of 2009 that we'll teach will be in April, but that date has not been set yet.
Good luck!
