Blood Tracking Light?

I am helping a friend on an archery hunt out on the Book Cliffs this year. I was thinking that a blood light may help with all the high sage out there for the deer to disappear in. Has anyone had any experience with a blood light?? Any recommendations on a good one that works?? Seems like the lights get pretty mixed reviews. Thanks in advance..
